FREEDOM FOR THE WOLF
Freedom for the Wolf is an epic investigation into the global crisis democracy - from the Umbrella Revolution in Hong Kong to the failure of the Arab Spring in Tunisia to the rise of Donald Trump.
Freedom for the Wolf was nominated for the Cinema for Peace Most Valuable Documentary of the Year, won the Audience Award at the Slamdance Film Festival and the Best Political Film Prize at the Protobello Film Festival, and screened at 40 film festivals worldwide, including IDFA and Sheffield Doc/Fest. The film opened the Human Rights Film Festival and Forum in Geneva and closed the Humans Fest in Valencia, Spain.
"Freedom movements - from Black Lives Matter to the Umbrella Revolution to the Arab Spring - were everywhere. But where they fighting for the same thing? And why had they all sprung up across the world at the same time? I wanted to know what was driving the global wave of resistance, and if the very idea of freedom itself - with all its paradoxes - was at the heart of it."
