Russell conceived, pitched, wrote and directed the commercials. They feature real people telling real stories. The films were shortlisted for the 1.4 Awards 2021.
"I wanted to make these films because many people believe that the LGBTQ struggle is over. But the reality is that even in the most “tolerant” places many have to pass as straight or an “acceptable” version of a queer person. I wanted to expose this reality through the stories of two real people who struggle to pass in their everyday lives."
